dvd players

I’ve found a bunch of answers that talk a bit about this, but no one actually says what you can do with these dvd player slots. Why do media player companies even include them?

  1. When one can buy a DVD player for $30, it is very hard to differentiate, so some companies include USB ports. Most often they can be used to playback JPEG images or MP3 files from a usb thumb drive. Some may support additional formats.
