I’ve got an X-Fi Elite Pro soundcard, so want some nice 5.1 speakers to go with it, using an optical cable.

  1. JBL and Harman/Kardon make some beautiful computer speakers. Tip: Check the Apple web site. They have some beautiful speakers posted under accessories that compliment high-end systems.

  2. I would suggest trying Logitech, some other high-end brands are available, but unless you have a very good soundcard and are a serious audiphile you’ll notice the difference, if that’s the case try Klipsch, Boston Acoustics, Harman Kardon…forget Bose!! they’re not what the used to be, these days they fall basically and the ridiculous expensice electronics category…

  7. Use the Bose acoustimas 10 and hook it up to a nice reciever that utilizes the optical out on your sound card or maybe even mobo? You won’t be disappointed.
