Grandma Jo asked:
I am not a complete electronic illiterate when it comes to hooking things up, but both manuals stated that I ONLY needed a HDMI cable to hook the two units up. Did that but no picture? Have two HDMI’s on tv and tried both neither played dvd. Am I forgetting any other connections? Is there something I need to format in either product? This is My Mothers Day present to me nightmare! Help please!

That’s all you need. Make sure the cable is connected securely. Also make sure your TV input is set to HDMI and that your DVD output is set to HDMI (this could be hard to do with no picture, LOL). You may want to connect the DVD player to the TV with an RCA video cable so you can see what you’re doing, but it’s probably a loose connection or the TV’s input selection.
