I have a 720p 50 inch plasma. Will Blockbuster and other retailers be providing HD content on DVD? Should I wait on this whole thing (new theatre system which I don’t REALLY need) until things shake out in the HD delivery market?

I would say yes, but my husband insisted on getting a HDTV. Spent 2k. I think there are better ways to spend that kind of money. So I say wait.

It is looking like Blu-Ray is the way to go. HD-DVD does not have much support for movies. HD-DVD is a cheaper media for computer file storage, however.

Sometimes it is best to be a little patient and wait , to see which way the market will go, especially with new technology.
Not only will it tell you which one to buy , but it will also come at a cheaper price tag.
