in the audio setting menu ,i used to have 3D surround, bypass, rock, pop & jazz. now techno, classic, soft &dance have mysteriously added to the original sets. When this change came about, the woofer never played again. Also used to have speaker test menu which disappered with the appearance of these sounds. how do i correct this.

First off , check your owners manual.
One other suggestion is to shut off the power to your home theater and unplug it from your electrical outlet, and leave it unplugged for several minutes.
Hopefully this will make the receiver go back to the original factory settings and all will be well.
