I want to purchase a flat screen televsion to go above my fireplace, but I don’t want wires all over the place, is there such thing as a wireless system to work with an HDTV? If not, how would I attach the wires from DVD player to the tv if the DVD player is approx. 7′ away from the TV?

  1. No. You need an HDMI cable.

  2. There are a few wireless systems out there but in my opinion they are not very good. I would avoid them until they get all teh bugs worked out. The best thing to do is to run the cables through the wall. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but it will be the best and most reliable picture and the cables can all be hidden inside your walls.
