The white yellow and red are plugs that are called RCA. What you will have to do is run the dvd player through a VCR to use it on that TV, or get a new tv.

Go to the closest Electronic shop, Radioshack, Best Buy, Blockbuster, Walmart, etc… and purchase an RF Modulator. Should run no more than $14. When you see it you will know how to hook it up.

Actually there is such a thing and it will be exactly what you are looking for. Get over to the nearest like Circuit City or something and tell them that my TV has an RF plug only and I want to hook up something with RCA plugs to it. There is this adapter and it will let you do exactly that. I know this because I have one of those. I have one made by the company called RCA. It should be about $20. If you want more connections, get one with multiple RCA connection so you can get him an Xbox 360 also.

What you need is an RF Modulator, it has RCA inputs and co-ax outputs.
