u need a hd tv, hdmi cable. if u hv Pro Logic it better surround sound.

you will need a high def or blu ray player to watch true hd on dvd.you can buy one of these upconverting dvd players but in my oppinion there a bit of a fiddle because hd tvs upscale the picture anyway.toshiba hd e1 dvd has come down to about £179 with free delivery check it out in a search.you will need hdmi or component cables.

You need an HDMI cable, which will send the video signal from your DVD player to the TV.
A good surround system depends on your budget. If you only have a few hundred dollars, an Onkyo or Yamaha home theater in a box. In order to use the HD DVD specific surround sound format (Dolby TrueHD or DTS-HD), your receiver will need to support it. Otherwise, the HD DVD will certainly take advantage of 5.1 Dolby Digital or DTS that your receiver undoubtedly supports.
