i cant clean it because after loading it keeps reading my dvd home movies as bad disc. so it wont play at all!
i was wondering could it be locked or could the region need to be changed? help!!

Colby is not one of the most reliable brands to buy. Buy a new DVD movie & see what happens. If it works then your old disc have too many scratches on them. If it doesn’t work then you have a bad DVD player.

More than likely the laser is bad, Colby is not a quality brand. Get a new DVD and if that doesn’t work invest another DVD player not Colby!!!
