yes you will loss quality.
they are to different formats basically its like comparing a tape to a CD yeah you can adapt them to the other but you will see the loss.
my advise get a HDMI card and then sell your DVI to get some cash back.

HDMI is the same as DVI except that HDMI also carries sound. There are adapters out there, but you’ll also need to connect the sound using the other outputs you have.
