i would awnser your question but you say not to because i have an onkyo reciever instead of a nexxtech. but im a nice guy its not going to play 5.1 when you put a cd in just the front left and right and the sub. try putting the eq in all chanel.

possibly change the sound setting you want 5 channel for same sound out of each speaker good for normal tv and music
