BoogWoog asked:
I have Direct TV and I bought a home theater system with a built in DVD player. Do I hook it up to the Direct TV box and if so, how do I do it? I’ve connected all the speakers but I don’t know what goes where to get it hooked up to the Tv and Direct TV box. Thank you!

Depending on which DirecTV receiver you have, you should have a couple of options. You could use the analog RCA Red/White connections on the back of your receiver into your home theater. Or you can check to see if there is fiber optic or Digital coaxial connections on both units. fiber optic will have a little red light inside the connection and digital coaxial is usually a orange RCA type connection. Once you have the connection set, make sure that the home theater is set to the right input for the audio/video. That should be it! Good luck!!

it should have a two prong that says audio out you plug a red and white sound cord in and then to your reciever and your sound runs from your surround sound speakers
