Im Interested In Setting Up A Home Theatre System.
No Where Near Ready To Do This Now But Was Just Thinking On Ways To Do It.
In My Theatre Room I Want:
Receiver
DVD Player
Computer For a Movie Database
And Home Theatre Surround Sound System
And A Projector
My Question Is Confusing: Sorry.
My Question Is:
For The Computer:
I Want The Computer To Be Hooked Up Obviously To The Projector And Surround Sound.- Through A Receiver- (HD-MI Ports) How Does This Work - Since You Have One HD-MI Port Going To The Projector And — Where Would The Audio Go? -
Any other Suggestions Are Appreciated…
Like I Said - Just Planning

If you get a late-model receiver, it will have HDMI ports for several devices. The receiver will extract the digital audio from the HDMI and give you surround sound. You will then need only one HDMI input to your projector–the output of the receiver.
By implication, your computer has an HDMI output; if so, then the above applies. However, if the computer has only DVI output, you will need a DVI to HDMI adapter, and you will have to use a separate cable to carry the sound to the receiver. Your receiver will have inputs for various audio forms including digital (coax or optical or both) and stereo (red/white RCA plugs).
