Goto crutchfield.com and see if they can build a system within your budget…
Sony & Panasonic have decent HTiB systems that you can get for less than $900

Try to stay away from HTIB as the speakers are normally not the best try a onkyo or yahama reciever ($300-400) an upconverting DVD player with HDMI ($70) and infinity,polk or fluance speakers ($199-500)
