blackstallion357returns asked:

i have LG Karaoke system with a 5:1 home theatre. When i play my downloaded Mp3 or AVI or any other format the effect does not come on all 5 channels…only two plays. Please advice me on a software to convert these files so i can play them on my home theatre in all 5 channels.

  2. As schuhaaron has said audio is only recorded in 2 channels. To get the most out of your 5.1 system, you can try connecting the rears to the fronts so you’ll have both connections in one connection. Won’t make much of a difference but it’s something. 5.1 is most useful for dvd’s/videos which have the dts/dolby digital symbols etc as the amp can decode the signals and send them to the correct speaker giving you surround sound. It also depends on what connections you are using at the back. If using phono leads then you won’t get as crystal clear a sound if you were using optical cables. I use optical and the sound difference is amazing. Hope that helps :)

  3. If your records are mono or stereo only front L&R and sub will work. For 5.1 you need movie with Dolbysurround sound.Only with this kind of records you will get the full effect of 5.1!!!
