read the label on the face of the player I surely doubt it has the divx logo since your asking so I would say no it can not you need one that can support the format. and what does the wattage have to do with the video capability?

Your question is impossible to properly answer based on the supplied information.
a “1200 watts home theatre system” is a description of a receiver and speakers. What is relevant is the DVD player. look for the model number and check on
